Mevlud-i-serif

1On 15 nth August 2009.,  there was an annually  prayer meeting at Pervizi village on Bjelašnica mountain. This event is a tradition for nearly 50 years. Village itself is placed at a beautiful valley of  Bjelašnica  (15 km south – east of famous ski place where 14 nth Olympic games was hold). About 500 Muslims were present at extremely sunny day (Bjelašnica is famous by its cold winters, but summers can be particularly hot as well).

Opening ceremony started at 11:00 a.m. with a speech of local imam Asad ef. Fočo. He specially emphasized an  importance of this event for a Bječašnica worshipers. Asad ef. also asked from Muslims to stop with unsuitable habit of drinking alcohol after mevlud ceremony, that appeared after Serbian aggression to BosMuslims nia. He pointed that alcohol  is not a part of  tradition at Bjelašnica mountain and forbidden by Qur’an. Ceremony continued with a recitation of mevlud in the name of prophet Muhammed (s.a.w.s), that was performed by Hamza ef. Lavic, Resul ef. Alic, Salem ef. Huric  and Omer ef. Zulic. After that, imam of Careva’s mosque hfz. Sadrudin Išerić said these days of  Sha’aban month are special mubaraq for muslims. He asked from people to increase their dua’s and make spiritual preparation for coming month of Ramadan. Mevlud ceremony finished by dua that was read by Asad ef.  After that, many people went to a locality near village Sinanovici to meet with their friends at a traditional fiesta. It was an event that Muslims will carry in their minds until next year.

Artificial festival

If you visit Sarajevo for a few next days you will probably ask yourselves:

Who are all these idiots wearing red accreditations !?”

These idiots are rich kids working on Sarajevo Film Festival, showing their accreditations ( with red t-shirt ) to all normal citizens and tourists in Sarajevo. I bet they go to shops, coffee bars, hospitals, schools… and every other normal place with their fu*kin accreditations and SFF t-shorts. Maybe, you would ask me why do I hate this festival in the first place ?

First of all, my city looks very artificial in festival days. Whole program is based on glamour and photography. Do you really think that someone actually go to see a movie there ? You really think that someone cares about these Romanian, Bulgarian and Iranian movies !? Yes… maybe 5% of visitors.

The point is: It’s important to be seen there even if you are yawning during the vie – It’s a ticket for a Sarajevo jet-set). It’s important to say that you go to a film festival (even if you have no idea wich movie performance for). For my civilians, It’s highly important to have a VIP ticket ( because It’s not just a ticket for a movie – It’s something that you will show to all your friends, to all your neighborhood). It’s important to have a first seat in a cinema… not because of movie – but because of cameramen and journalists. I also hate all these irrelevant news about this fu*kin festival, just for the records… few days ago, I heard on TV, that man was waiting ten hours to buy a festival ticket (This kind of person helps me to find out why they say Bosnians are stupid).
Sarajevo-Film-Festival
Dear visitors, try to feel Sarajevo without It’s film festival…
